Airbnb Says Japan Listings Have Soared Back After Last Year’s Freeze

Skift Take: Airbnb invested $30 million to return the number of listings year-ago levels, before Japan implemented the Minpaku law. Good that it did this well before the 2020 Olympics. But there’s more competition now as hotel supply has increased. Even disruptive players such as Oyo Hotels and Homes are in the ring.
