    perfect, thank you

  • Hello, I was just looking at the ‘health check’ function on my website and I am getting the message:
     The loopback request to your site failed, this may prevent WP_Cron from working, along with theme and plugin editors.
    Error encountered: (0) cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

    • Hi Jo, as long as your posts are going to The Soup this doesn’t matter.

      It is a new test that was inserted in WP 4.9 that has caused many ‘false positives’ on the Health Check on different plugins.

      We are looking for a solution to remove the warning, but you can ignore that for now.

    Sorry Alan, that’s not what I’m referring to.

    It’s the background to the boxes :
    ‘visit our local guide to learn more’
    ‘reserve your accommodation for your holiday’

    I was wondering if the size and colour of these boxes could be altered

    Hi Alan,
    Yes I got there, I’m assuming I need to write some custom CCS but what is it I write?

    Also any thoughts on the spacing to make the page tighter

    • It’s, appearance, customise, design, primary colour option

    Hi all,

    Looking at the front page of my website http://www.thecrestdroxfordholidays.com I’m wondering if there is a way to change the background of the ‘visit our local guide to learn more’ section and the ‘reserve your accommodation for your holiday’ section with either a more interesting colour or even better a photo…anyone know how to do…[Read more]

    • Hi Joanne,
      You can change the primary colour in the customiser – Appearance, customise

      I think it’s custom CSS to alter the TG Call to Action widget. Looking at Themegrill’s forum the following may help:

      In the Custom CSS Box in the Customize-> Design:

      .call-to-action-content-wrapper {
      padding-bottom: 30px;
      padding-top: 30px;
      }

      to change the space above and below (try different numbers).

      I also found (and I haven’t tried…[Read more]

  • Following on from last weeks disruption when the speed booster plugin was update I now have the issue that the foo galleries are not loading up in the Microsoft edge browser.  They are loading correctly in Chrome and explorer.  Anyone else experiencing this and have a solution before I start the arduous process of finding out what is causing the issue?

  • I see that on the wordpress forum it is advised that our websites be on a PHP version 7.2 for website performance& security. Well, my website is on version 5.6.35. This is all above my paygrade so would someone talk me through whether I should be listening to this advice and if so what steps to take to update the PHP version?
